Thank you for stopping by the children’s department at the Ponte
Vedra Beach
Branch Library of the St. Johns County Public
Library System. In cooperation with
the Friends of the Library,
who provide monetary and volunteer support, we strive
to provide
enriching programs that entertain and inspire your children. In
addition,
we take pride in our selection of educational and
entertaining resources. Our collection is made up of books,
audio books, movies, music and electronic informational sources
that are integral part of the development of each and every
family we meet.

After-School Crafts with Teens
Wednesday, February 1, 4:00 - 5:00
p.m.
All elementary-aged children, Kindergarten –
5th grade, are invited to make fun crafts with the teens of
Nease High School’s Arts in Motion Club in the PGA Media Room! All materials are provided
by the Friends of the Library, no registration
needed, and it’s FREE! These programs take place once a month.

Teens Read With Kids
Saturday, February 4,
10:00 a.m. - noon
This monthly program is presented by the
teens of Ponte Vedra High School's Book Club. For all
chidren who like to be read to or want to practice their
reading. Pick your books from the Library's selection or
bring your favorites from home. Drop into the Children's
Department anytime between 10 and 12 and have fun!

Candy Sushi (Children's St Johns Reads
Program)
Wednesday, February 8, 3:30 - 4:30
p.m.
This special Children’s St. Johns Reads
program open to all children ages 5 – 9. Children are invited to
create some special sushi made with candy ingredients instead of
raw fish! This year’s selection for St. Johns Reads is
Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand with an array of programming
at all of our library branches. Reserve your copy of

Family Game Time
Wednesday, January 25 and February
22, from 3:00 –
6:00 pm
On the 4th Wednesday of every month
between 3 - 6 pm, the whole family is invited to the library to
play board games! Simply use your library card or driver's
license to check out a board game or two from the Reference Desk
and play anywhere in the library. These games - for a variety of
ages - include Monopoly, Connect Four, Candy Land, Scrabble,
Chutes and Ladders, Uno, and many more. Challenge your family
and friends to your favorite games! Call the Library at 827-6950

Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library.

Just For Babies
Tuesdays,
10:15 a.m., January 3 and 17, February 7 and 21
For babies birth - 15 months. Infant lap-sit program
designed for one-on-one interaction between caregiver and baby.
Families with a baby and older children are encouraged to attend
our Family Story Time programs.

Family Story Time
Tuesdays, 11:00 a.m., in January and
February
Families with young children are
invited to come out to enjoy songs, dancing, stories, nursery
rhymes, and more with Ms. Anne. Although these programs are
aimed at ages 16 months – 5 years, all children (including
babies) and their families are very welcome at Family Story
Time.
