Young Adult Department

At the Young Adult Deparment, we ♥ Teens!

Call the Library at 827-6950 for information on Teen Library Programs.

Over the last few months, the Teen Department of the Library has been spruced up, with new contemporary furniture donated by the FOL. The County’s Facilities Maintenance painters have been painting the back wall a bright turquoise color, and the contoured chairs and geometric rugs add to the youthful atmosphere where teens can read, socialize and share activities.

Another exciting new addition: Sony Electronics has provided a Playstation 3 and games and to go with the gaming station. A Sony representative will also join in the monthly gaming nights, which include Sabina from Game Stop and Lisa Barnett, PV High Media Specialist, to help run things and bring goodies for teens!

Anne Crawford, Youth Services Librarian, encourages all library patrons to drop in and see for themselves the exciting new Teen Area!

Reserve your copy of Unbroken today!

Teen Gaming Night

Teen Gaming Nights (for middle and high school students) are moving from the 4th Monday of each month to the 1st Wednesday of each month, 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. beginning in January.  For middle and high school students ages 11 - 18.

We are grateful for the support from community individuals and groups that support this program for teens, and would like to recognize and thank Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library, Sabina at Gamestop, and Sean, Ponte Vedra Branch Library Patron and father.

We are so fortunate to have such a thoughtful community that cares about our teens and wants to help them make the Library a fun, safe place for them!

Family Game Time

Wednesday, January 25 and February 22, from 3:00 – 6:00 pm

On the 4th Wednesday of every month between 3 - 6 pm, the whole family is invited to the library to play board games! Simply use your library card or driver's license to check out a board game or two from the Reference Desk and play anywhere in the library. These games - for a variety of ages - include Monopoly, Connect Four, Candy Land, Scrabble, Chutes and Ladders, Uno, and many more. Challenge your family and friends to your favorite games! Call the Library at 827-6950 for more details. All board games are generously provided by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library.
